Methods and Constants: Task 3

Hi.

Can you tell me please where I've gone wrong?

public class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_CHARGE = 8;
  private String mColor;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }
}

public void main {
  mBarsCount = MAX_CHARGE;
}

Thank you.

Sean :-)

The method body looks good, but shouldn't it be inside the class definition. Maybe name it something more clear too?

Let me know if that hint helps ;)

Hi Craig. Thanks for your reply and my apologies for the delay.

I've just tried again. This is my finished product, which has earned me the green light:

public class GoKart {
  private String mColor;
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public void charge() {
    mBarsCount = MAX_BARS;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }
}

Thanks very much for your help; it made a difference.

Sean :-)
