388 Pointsmethod of assigning a variable not working??
Why is this not working?? this is the second step to the challenge, which depends on the first step. The first step is make var id uppercase and assign it to username. Passed. Then when I'm supposed to make it end up with "23188XTR#SMITH" the first step is broken? Help!
var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
username += "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
username += "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();

231,269 PointsYou just have a typo.
On the last line, you wrote "username" (with lower-case "n") instead of "userName".
Since this introduced a syntax error (undefined variable), and since the challenge re-checks task 1 first, the error message was reporting task 1 being broken.
