I got a bit confused would appreciate help. In responsive typography video Mattox Shuler uses body 1.25em. In the media query he uses @media (max-width: 34em). He said that this would equal 34em x 16 px. But wouldnt this be 34 x 20? since the body is 1.25?

Treehouse TeacherHi there! You would be correct except that he isn't referring to the body. Here's the quote:
So at 544 pixels, we're gonna divide that number by 16, which is the default number for ems, and that's gonna give us 34 em.
When he references the "default" here, he is meaning the default font-size in pixels of the browser.
