531 Points.m
What are the .m files used for, he is only using the .h class files

Code Junkie
3,786 Points.m files are called as implementation files. Whenever we declare methods related to class in the .h file then we use the .m file to write the full code for that method. I mean to say that function declarations can be done in .h and .m file both but the function definition can only be written in the .m file.
One more major difference is that the properties that you declare in the .h files are public and if you define a property in the .m file then they are private that is they cannot be accessed in any other file.
