Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype Looping until the value passes

Looping until the value passes

Hey, James here again, I think this is my best try yet, but its been a month and I still can’t get past this challenge! Please somebody just spell it out for me so I can move on! I’m wasting time and money!!!!!

Example.java
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.
String response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?");
do{
  console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?");
} while (response == "No");

Hey William Biggerstaff 👋

You're super close to the solution here! The only thing you'll want to adjust is storing the value of that second console.readLine in the response variable. You can then also remove the readLine call from the first line and simply declare the response variable without giving it a value. This will avoid the user being prompted before the actual loop starts.

String response;

do {
  response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?");
} while (response == "No");

Hope this helps to get you going again! 🙂
