135 Pointslocalwp.dev not appearing on testsite
After going through the necessary steps, and double checking that the servers are started, when I open the testsite page it does not show the link to localwp.dev as shown in the video, as shown at 03:36 in video. Suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance.

12,045 PointsHello There,
Depending on where you saved your wordpress folder, you have to change the root folder so its where the localwp.dev is located. If the localwp.dev is located in the testsite folder, then the root directory must be directed to that folder.
Since I am using a mac, i can do this by going to preferences. And then pick web server. And then just change the root directory.
Hope that helps :D

826 PointsIts because the original index file still exists in the document root folder, delete or rename it.

5,900 PointsI have a similar issue on a Windows 7 machine. I created a folder in My Documents\DEV ENV. There I moved the wordpress folder, extracted from the zip file and renamed it and now sits \DEV ENV\localwp.dev.
MAMP Document root is set to My Documents\DEV ENV.
MyPHPAdmin I created a new host called localwp per the instructions (not localwp.dev - possibly where I've gone wrong since they don't match).
When I open My WebStart Page from MAMP all I see is the text I entered on \DEV ENV\index.php
