links wont work on my nav list, tells me task two isn't working when i put them in. the syntax looks fine.

In the code challenge, I put in my unordered list and it says it's good, but when I add links to it, it says that 'task two' isn't working. I've checked what I put and everything looks correct, so I don't know what I'm missing or doing wrong, would appreciate insight.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html"Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html"About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html"Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>

Hi Louis,

In each of your 3 links you're missing the closing right angle bracket > for the start tag.

This

<li><a href="index.html"Portfolio</a></li>

Should be this

<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>

It's probably just a simple thing.

In task one, all you have to do was create the nav element with a single unordered list element inside it. But nothing else. These challenges can be very specific. Start again but try to put in only what it asks for.

<nav>
   <ul></ul>
</nav>

In task 2 you want list items with text inside but no links. Good luck. :-)
