Java Java Basics Using your New Tools Multiple Format Strings

Level bug on Java Basics

I am currently doing the Java Basics course and I am on question: 'https://teamtreehouse.com/library/java-basics/using-your-new-tools/multiple-format-strings'. 1 of 3. I have typed 'String name = console.readLine();' which I am sure is right but it says tat it is wrong!

HI Joseph,

I had the same issue when I just tried it (I need to check the use of readLine). If you provide a prompt string, it will work:

String name = console.readLine("Enter your name: ");

I'll check the docs now to see if that's expected behaviour.

Steve.

There are two readLine methods.

One takes no arguments, the other takes a string, as I guessed at above. The challenge is using the latter, although somewhat tacitly!

Docs are http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/io/Console.html#readLine(java.lang.String,%20java.lang.Object...)
