7,063 PointsLesson is confusing and big
This lesson I think could be improved, it is so big and some of the terms are not properly explain like <symbol> tag and "view box", I hope it can be broken down to smaller lessons. And what are the advantages of embedding the whole "SVG" syntax to the actual HTML page? I think it makes it look messy and maintenance of SVG might be a little tedious because you'd have to go through all of the HTML pages you used them.

6,747 PointsI agree with this. There are a lot of terms used here that have not been covered on the current front end development track. I know they have various lessons outside of the 'tracks' which are often featured in the teachers notes, but it is frustrating that they don't put in the effort to say "by the way this means x, and this is why we do x, incase you haven't seen our other video". This might be due to lack of foresight when filming these videos but yeah... a lot of information packed into one video.

13,263 Pointsi have been going through the front end track and this is the first time i feel blindsided by a lot of terms and functions that i have never been introduced to, this whole lesson just felt out of place and awkward. This very much needs to be looked at by the treehouse team.

5,866 PointsI think it is time to update some of these videos, as they are really out-dated. I agree with all your comments above, Nick does not seem to be a good instructor. As so far all Guil and Treasure's lessons were much more instructive and clearer.

8,494 PointsI agree. It really sapped my motivation.

9,231 PointsI was going to make a post with the same comment. This is not presented very clearly at all, and what's more, it's not even obvious of all this work is worth the little speed gain that you get. Please re-think this lesson, TeamTreeHouse.

17,352 PointsI second everyone's thoughts on this. How much speed are you really getting by creating a sprite map? It's tedious, makes the code look messy, and it might be saving negligible load time?

14,193 PointsI've complained multiple times to TREE HOUSE about these 10 year old videos still being part of the modern curriculum. Nothing but lame canned responses from them.
