Learning SQL with Java

Hey everyone!

Been doing the Java Data Structures course and look on moving onto the Web development once I'm done. I'm completely new to programming but also looking at learning SQL - seeing as they are completely unrelated, would it be okay to start learning some SQL basics while learning java? Or better to get proficient in one language before moving onto something like SQL?

Thanks in advance :)
