Keep getting error when trying to add string for first name

Here is the error: treehouse:~/workspace$ javac Introductions.java
Introductions.java:9: error: ';' expected
String firstName = "Cheryl"
^
1 error

This is the formatting I am using

import java.io.Console;

public class Introductions {

public static void main(String[] args) {
    Console console = System.console();
    // Welcome to the Introductions program! Your code goes below here

    String firstName = "Cheryl";
    console.printf ("Hello, my name is %s\n, firstName");
    console.printf ("%s is learning how to print Java\n, firstName");

} }

Any help will be appericated

The issue is the formatting strings in your printf statements. They should be

console.printf("something %s", firstName);

instead of

console.printf("something %s, firstName");
String firstName = "Cheryl";
console.printf ("Hello, my name is %s\n", firstName);
console.printf ("%s is learning how to print Java\n", firstName);
