Be sure that your homebrew is updated if not just run the following in the MAC terminal: brew upgrade

install Homebrew on macOS using terminal: /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

Use Homebrew to install telnet: brew install telnet

Run telnet: telnet device-ip-address

remember that once you type in the teachers instructions to quickly type:

telnet httpbin.org 80

then to quickly type GET / HTTP/1.1 which GET means fetching the / root HTTP/1.1 means the version

then quickly type Host: httpbin.org
