What am I doing wrong on this challenge?
def just_right(insert): if len(insert) < 5: return("Your string is too short") elif len(insert) > 5: return("Your string is too long") else: return True
def just_right(insert):
if len(insert) < 5:
return("Your string is too short")
elif len(insert) > 5:
return("Your string is too long")
else:
return True

Treehouse TeacherHi there! Your logic is spot on and your syntax is just fine. However, when the length of the string is greater than 5 the string you're returning contains an extraneous space. Because this is a different string than the challenge is expecting, it's returning the wrong result.
# you typed
return("Your string is too long")
# you meant to type
return("Your string is too long") #note one less space between "Your" and "string"
Hope this helps!
