Just starting out and I'm stuck. Help!

i'm on the first challenge task, part 3/3 and for some reason i keep getting the null notification with this

<body> <style> h1{ color: green; } <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> </style> </body>

What am I doing wrong?

Joshua,

The text "Nick Pettit" needs to be between the 

<h1></h1>

Tags in your html file not your CSS file. So your css file should only have:

h1 {
  color: green;
}

Your entire answer should look like this. You need "Nick Petit" within <h1> braces in order to style it with an h1 selector. I'm not sure how you go pass the second question without doing so. Maybe you're trying inline formatting? In that case you would do something like:

<h1 style= "color: green;">Nick Petit</h1>
