i understand that we write test to simluate a case that could happen in a real program but craig mentioned something about that try catch block are the old way to do checks

9,483 PointsI haven't done that course and can't find where he says it in the video linked above, but maybe he meant that using try-catch in JUnit tests is the old way of testing exceptions. With JUnit, you can also use annotations or the ExpectedException rule for example. I'm not sure either.
