Oh, right, sorry, you're also missing a dot between movies and genre_id

so:

SELECT movies.title , genres.name FROM movies INNER JOIN genres ON movies.genre_id=genres.id ;

happens in debugging, you find the first error you see and think it is solely responsible for all your problems. :D
