How do I instal java on my windows machine so that I can test my code

4,996 PointsDownload Java Platform (JDK) 8u40 from this site.....http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.... Install the java Platform. Go to my computer, right click and go to properties, Click advanced System settings, click Environment variables under System Variables , click New on Variable name type, JAVA_HOME on variable name, paste the path of the java jdk file e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_31
After that save changes.
on System variables edit Path...u put a semi colon first and paste the path of the jdk bin folder.
save restart machine do to command prompt and type ;javac-version......if it gives u the version u are good to go.
