2,060 PointsIts asking me to do this exercise using a for loop but i'm having trouble, any help?
The commented section is what i need to do but i can't seem to do it.
public class Programmers {
public void printMenu() {
String[] programmers = {
"Yukihiro Matsumoto",
"David Nolen",
"Grace Hopper",
"Linus Torvalds",
"You"
};
System.out.println("Choose a programmer:");
// TODO: Print out a menu by looping through the programmers array.
/*
The menu should be in the form of (each on a line of its own, starting with 1):
1. Yukihiro Matsumoto
2. David Nolen
...
*/
for(int i = 0; i < programmers.length; i++) {
String program = programmers[i];
System.out.printf("#%d. %s %n",
program);
}
}
// TODO: Print out a menu by looping through the programmers array.
/*
The menu should be in the form of (each on a line of its own, starting with 1):
1. Yukihiro Matsumoto
2. David Nolen
...
*/
}
}

Courses Plus Student 13,401 PointsGood Afternoon Ryan,
You would use %d if you were printing a decimal. You are only printing people's names, so each name is a String.
The hash symbol is used in formatting the output of your numbers like shown below. Since your code has no numbers, it should not have any hash symbols.
customFormat("###,###.###", 123456.789);
Change this one line of code and your program should work.
console.printf("%s %n", program);
I hope this was helpful to you.
Mark
