12,490 PointsIt says that I have a compiler error but when I click preview nothing is shown.
When I click on the preview button, it shows me an html file with nothing written in it.
// Example of UIBarButtonItem instance
// let someButton = UIBarButtonItem(title: "A Title", style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)
enum BarButton {
case done(title: String)
case edit(title: String)
func button () -> UIBarButtonItem {
switch self {
case .done (let name): return UIBarButtonItem (title: name, style: .done, target: nil, action:nil)
case .edit (let name): return UIBarButtonItem (title: name, style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)
}
}
}
let done = BarButton.done (title: "Save")
let button = done.button

7,511 PointsHi Julian,
I too have issues with the preview compiler showing. Can make it difficult to troubleshoot sometimes.
Your ganna kick yourself if the pants when you see this: you nailed it other than a syntax error on the last line of code! Good work!
// Example of UIBarButtonItem instance
// let someButton = UIBarButtonItem(title: "A Title", style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)
// Example of UIBarButtonItem instance
// let someButton = UIBarButtonItem(title: "A Title", style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)
enum BarButton {
case done(title: String)
case edit(title: String)
func button () -> UIBarButtonItem {
switch self {
case .done (let name): return UIBarButtonItem (title: name, style: .done, target: nil, action:nil)
case .edit (let name): return UIBarButtonItem (title: name, style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)
}
}
}
let done = BarButton.done (title: "Save")
let button = done.button() // you forgot the "()" on the button() call! :(
