2,312 PointsIssues with string length exercise
I am having a hard time figuring out what is wrong with my code. Any help is appreciated. The only message that treehouse provides is "Bummer! Try again!". Running it on an IDE and passing a string produces the expected results without any errors. Could someone help please?
def just_right(s1):
if len(s1) < 5:
print("Your string is too short")
elif len(s1) > 5:
print("Your string is too long")
else:
return True

21,074 PointsYou are almost right, but the code challenge is asking for you to return those strings if those if conditions are true instead of printing it. You could do it like this:
def just_right(s1):
if len(s1) < 5:
return "Your string is too short"
elif len(s1) > 5:
return "Your string is too long"
else:
return True
I hope that helps a little bit
