130 PointsIssues getting MySQL Workbench to function - need help
I downloaded the server and workbench and tried saving the password. When I was prompted for a password, I didn't realize it wanted that password and put in my laptop password, which it stored. I tried to put in the temp password, but found my document had not saved the changes (damn Pages) and I didn't have it.
Since then, I have deleted and downloaded both the server and workbench several times, but I am no longer offered a temp password when I do so. I have nothing to use to start the connection to the server.
On a separate issue, I downloaded the suggested version, but it still looks substantially different from what is on the video. I concur that it is time to update the video. Otherwise, it is no longer particularly helpful.

130 PointsThanks, but I haven't been successful using that. My file doesn't have a .pid extension, so it took forever to find. When I used the bash command, it didn't work and I got hundreds of lines of this:
-bash: kill: #include: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: "os.h": arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: #if: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: (!defined(WIN32): arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: &&: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: !defined(NETWARE)): arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: ||: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: defined(MINGW32): arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: #include: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: "ap_config_auto.h": arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: #endif: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: #include: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: "ap_config_layout.h": arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: /Applications: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: /Library: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: /Network: arguments must be process or job IDs -bash: kill: /System: arguments must be process or job IDs
Is there anyone to help troubleshoot at TeamTreeHouse? Otherwise, I won't be able to get this working. Thanks.
