3,997 PointsIs WordPress still releavant?
From my time as a web developer, there's alot of websites out there running on the Wordpress CMS. I get a lot of requests to work on existing WordPress sites and a lot of clients specifically asking for WordPress sties as it's what they're used to. My question is, with TreeHouse having no WordPress related tutorials, is that because the industry is moving away from WordPress, or is it just something that isn't taught on TreeHouse?

However, I think it is better to focus on more broader skills, such as javascript, php and good old html/css, because if you can handle that, you can handle wordpress.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 11,513 PointsI was wondering the same thing - I know it's something around 25% of the web is powered by wordpress. As someone who hasn't landed a job yet it's encouraging to hear that Wordpress is being requested, as I've been trying to teach myself how to use the interface. I do wish treehouse had a course on it though, I know skillcrush offers a wordpress track (including working with PHP).
