Is there anyway that I can solve this with switch statement?

Help! I don't know what is wrong with my code

observer.swift
class TemperatureController: UIViewController {
    var temperature: Double{

    didSet{
      switch self{
      case self.temperature < 40:
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.blue
      case self.temperature > 80:
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.red
      default:
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.green
        }
    }
    }
    init(temperature: Double) {
        self.temperature = temperature
        super.init()
    }

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        super.viewDidLoad()
        view.backgroundColor = .white
    }
}

From this stack overflow create a new variable:

switch self.temperature {
      case let x where x < 40:
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.blue
      case let x where x > 80:
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.red
      default:
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.green
        }
