7,355 PointsIs there a possibility for teacher Ashley to redo the courses?
Slowly, with more explanatory information and perhaps with a little empathy for us who are new in OOJS. Just sending us to read MDN documentation and not explain even a little some concepts is not teaching. OOJS is a little complicated to understand and this course should shed more light for us, than sending us to look for online communities to get better explanation and good answers.
If in one video of 2-3 minutes a teachers is sending me 3 times to read MDN's documentation, we are kinda burning precious time and that it's not desirable.
Perhaps someone like Gill can redo this course. And yes, make it longer, because this.chaper is very important for us future developers and we need better explaining.
PS. This is my second time taking this course, because a few months ago I didn't finish the OOJS workshop exercise and it's frustrating to see a teacher changing speed and sending us to read elsewhere basic information. And YES, I use MDN a lot, to see definitions, syntaxes, examples and more.
Thank you, Romeo

231,184 PointsWhile the forum is a great place to get help from other students on learning issues, a better way to submit comments and suggestions on course material might be by contacting the staff as described on the Support page.
And as previously reported, Ashley left Treehouse in July 2019 for another company.

5,427 PointsI like it when Gill does the courses and Im super happy. He says it in ways I can understand more but this is just overloading and you're right, 2-3 minute video and send us endless MDN info to read and research ourselves is not my cup of tea

6,990 PointsAgreed! This course reaaaaaaally needs to be redone. The coding challenges come before the explanations in some places. Just a very poorly put together course. I was extremely pleased with Treehouse until I hit this course. I hope it is an anomaly.
