Is the CSS Basics quiz answer "cover" truly correct instead of "contain"?

Regarding question: Which background-size value displays the full image while maintaining the width and height proportions?

After reading the MDN description of background-size descriptions of contain and cover, I find that cover will crop the image if the proportions are not the same as the background "box" area, whereas contain will keep the entire image, proportioning it to as large as the containing area will allow.
