Android Build a Weather App Networking How Do We Get Data from the Web?

Is the "Build a Weather App" course deprecated?

In Team Treehouse's Beginner Android track, an entire course is based off of the DarkSky API, but on their homepage, they say that they are not accepting anymore sign ups.

For that reason, this course appears to be deprecated/moot. But, if there's an easy fix, feel free to tell me what it is. Thanks.

Another student commented that it was easy to convert.
