Is the 100 days of coding 100 days straight or in total within a year? How do they count the 30 minutes a days?

11,910 PointsIt is meant to be 100 days straight. The goal is to pick a topic or language you are interested in and then learn at least a little each day for 100 days in a row. TreeHouse has a little bit of support for this, and they will send you congratulations emails when you hit milestones over the three months, but if you are a Twitter user there is a very active community on there that tweets with the tag #100DaysOfCode and announcing each day: one (or several) things you learned or focused on for your daily studies helps reinforce your learning and your commitment to learning for 100 days straight.
Treehouse doesn't count your learning in any tracking way, so far as I know, for this challenge, but their lessons and tracks can be a great place to start as it is easy to do a lesson or two in 30 min.
Hope this helps and Happy Coding!
