201 PointsIs TeamTreehouse aware of these issues?
(There is no rule I could find that stated particular questions must be asked).
There are several frustrating problems and bugs which I encounter (when using the course part of the website) on a daily basis.
I want to make users and purchasers aware of several problems that have been plaguing the site ever since its inception. Here are the most notable: -When returning to a course, it will often assume you finished the last video causing it to automatically go to the next video in the cycle. -Code challenge errors, when they occur, can be very confusing. Sometimes, the error will direct you to repeat a step, with no explanation given. If memory serves me right, you can't skip them, either.

Thanks for taking the time to share this. You're absolutely right to comment here about these issues, you can also always send us an email at help@teamtreehouse.com for any issues in the future.
With that all being said, I'd like to touch on the issues you're describing in your main post:
When returning to a course, it will often assume you finished the last video causing it to automatically go to the next video in the cycle
We've noticed this and recently just made changes to how this works. Previously, we were allowing the system to mark a video as completed if you had watched a certain percentage of the video. We had this percentage marked far too low and have upped it significantly.
Code challenge errors, when they occur, can be very confusing. Sometimes, the error will direct you to repeat a step, with no explanation given. If memory serves me right, you can't skip them, either.
There's no denying that sometimes the code challenge tips and suggestions are off the mark and are unhelpful. We're fully aware of this and we are working towards an updated system that will be more friendly and informative. I can't share much more information than that right now. As for skipping challenges, you absolutely can, but in order to have a course marked as completed (same goes for stages) all quizzes and code challenges must be completed.
We hope that our efforts to address these issues makes for a better experience and again, don't ever hesitate to contact us with issues or concerns. We're always here to help!

2,965 PointsYes, I have been experiencing the same issues with it sometimes thinking I finished a video and adding to my progress. I then have to go back and rewatch the video. A simple fix really for the developers at treehouse. But my point being is that I'm sure many people have experienced this problem and I hope in the future they will manage this.
