10,647 PointsIs saving form input to Local Storage still okay regarding GDPR?
Hey there, I live in germany and since GDPR (or in german called DSGVO) came into force, we had to remove all cookies used on websites until a user consents to use them.
In the intro of this video Huston said a good use case of Local Storage is to save user input of a form to Local Storage. Does anyone know if this is still legal?
I know that Local Storage data is not submitted to a server, but the data saved there is not really secure. If a user fills out a big profile form, there will be a lot of personal information saved to LS that could easily be stolen by an attacker.
