Is MapLocation Location property an instantiated object?

Reason I am asking is because there was never a use of the keyword "new". So what exactly is it? I don't know why my mind went down this rabbit hole.

You're right, the "Location" property is a reference to an already instantiated MapLocation object. Since nothing is being created here, the "new" keyword isn't used.
