I should clarify that Dropbox isn't the ideal way to be sharing code with people. It doesn't have the robust version control that Git has and doesn't have the ability to filter out certain files that shouldn't be put onto the cloud - like your node_modules folder which is generated from the package.json (it's very large and not necessary to be shared). I was just addressing that things on Dropbox are also on your hard drive. Sorry if there's any confusion.
