Is it not better that the sound loops back?

Just a quick question,

Obviously it's good that we're taught these concepts but we've all played games where the sound of the level music loops back to the start every time our character is killed which is what happens all the time in our frog game.

Why wouldn't we allow the music to restart every time we play again? Is it personal preference?

Personal preference, yes. Looking back at early video games such as Pac Man, the sound started when the quarter was placed in the machine. Most game consoles sound started when the game started. I don't really remember when sound looped when the game was not being played.

I would have to say it is just personal preference
