I am running Xcode 9.4, and when I press play, the blank iPhone screen does not pop up like it does in the video. How can I fix that?

iOS Development with Swift Techdegree Graduate 30,149 PointsDo you have a device selected? I've never ran into this problem.
Don't know if it will help but you can run simulator manually.
- Go to applications folder, ctrl click Xcode and select 'show package contents'
- Next go Contents -> Developer -> Applications -> Simulator
- At top bar of simulator go to Hardware -> Device and then select your device.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 4,899 PointsThanks for your reply Brandon. I did have a device selected but still gave me the error. I then suddenly got an error saying I needed to select a "Team" in order to run the simulator. It gave me an option to select my name as personal team, and then it started to work.
