instructions do not make any sence. no matter what i input it says colors is not defined or red is not defined. colors = [red, blue, green, yellow, white] what is wrong???

You're pretty much there, except the colors need to be in quotation marks as they would be considered strings. Right now, without quotation marks around each one, Python thinks they are variables, which is why you are getting the 'undefined' error.
colors = ["red", "blue", "green", "yellow", "black"]
