I get an error " Make sure you're declaring an instance method named description and returns a String". The program runs correctly on Xcode playground. What is wrong?
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post{
let title:String
let author:String
let tag:Tag
init(title:String,author:String,name:String){
self.title = title
self.author = author
self.tag = Tag(name: name)
}
func description() ->String{
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", name: "Swift")
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

57,712 PointsHi Giorgos,
Very close with that - you just need to create the Tag
instance in your parameter to pass into the init
method:
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))
You then need to change your init
method to accept a Tag
as a parameter:
init(title:String,author:String,tag: Tag){
self.title = title
self.author = author
self.tag = tag
}
Make sense?
Steve,

21,276 PointsYes that make sense but unfortunently the same error again!

21,276 PointsIf it helps it works on xcode but not on treehouse editor..
Steve Hunter
57,712 PointsThe compiler doesn't like your spacing - change
func description() ->String{
to
func description() -> String {
That works here. Oh, and you don't need the init
method, apparently; it works without here!
Steve.
