The bummer said make sure you create an instance called description that returns a string. I don't know what is wrong with my code. Any help would be fantastic, thanks.
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post {
let title: String
let author: String
let tag: Tag
init (title: String, author: String, name: String){
self.title = title
self.author = author
self.tag = Tag(name: name)
}
func description () -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag)"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", name: "swift")
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

You actually don't need to create an init method (but it doesn't really matter that you did).
Your could should look something like this (only one small addition) -
struct Post {
let title: String
let author: String
let tag: Tag
func description() -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOS Development", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()
Hope this helps.
Happy Coding!!

Python Development Techdegree Graduate 38,554 PointsHi Vera,
Your code is correct and works when I tested it on xCode Playground. But the TeamTreehouse challenge for this didn't like that there was a space in-between 'fun description' and '(). So it should look like -
func description() -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
}
All I done was this and it worked.
Happy Coding!!
