I'm downloading this version of MySQL Community Server;

Here's my Macbook specs;

And every time the installation is failing. Am I doing something wrong? I'm just unzipping and going through the installation sequence according to the video.

564 PointsI had this problem too, my solution was to: after accepting the license agreement, there should be a customise option in the bottom left, click that, un-tick startup item (I think thats whats its called) then continue the installation.
Hope this works.

19,273 PointsYou can download a program called ammps and that has everything you need. The only thing you need to download is mysql workbench.
That's what I'm currently using.

5,258 PointsDid you restart your macbook and try again? As well as did you make sure you removed everything from MySQL Server on your mac? Sometimes some files do get downloaded while going through the process.

1,939 PointsBill Hinostroza Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to stick by the course while I'm new to this.
Khaleel Hamid Thanks for the suggestions. That is where I've downloaded the file from. I've restarted and I'm still having no luck. Re: uninstall everything, what do you mean by everything? Community Server isn't installing, I do have MySQL Workbench installed. What else do you recommend I uninstall?
Thanks for your help.
