I have a old macbook from 2009 running os 10.6.8. I'm trying to get deeper into development with command line tools but I'm having a hard time installing stuff since older versions are hard to find.
I need:
xcode This was actually on my Snow Leopard install disk --> Optional install.
Git Git is installed. I had problems with finding out which version of Git I had. Turned out that I had to close my terminal and start a new to see Git installed.
Homebrew (do I need this)? Yes I needed it. And installing it was easy with this on terminal: ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
Node & Npm These were installed easily with Homebrew command: brew install node
Bower
If anyone has struggled with same problem lately I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Help a semi-noobie, please :)
Thank you.
