HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

Inside the navigation element, create three list items with the words, “Portfolio”, “About”, and “Contact”...

It keeps saying that Task 1 is now incorrect but I go to check it and it says correct. It just wont let me go to the next step. I'm wondering if this is a technical problem. Please let me know what I am doing wrong if you catch something in my code. Thanks.

Hey Sarah,

Where you have the HTML for the challenge, I admit I am confused as to how Task one passed. The <nav> tag is supposed to be after the link in the <header>, so it needs to go after the closing </a> tag.

You are also missing the closing <nav> tag.

Below is the code (just the <header>) that will pass task 2. And just a hint. When you encounter and error that is similar to "Task one is no longer passing" ... it really has nothing to do with Task One. It is a syntax error in whichever task you are in, so resist the urge to click "Go to Task one" and just try to see where the mistake is in the current task.

<header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
          <ul>
            <li>Portfolio</li>
            <li>About</li>
            <li>Contact</li>
          </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>

Keep Coding! :) :dizzy:

I don't see nav closing tag: </nav>
