Inside the major() setter method, set the student's major to a backing property "_major". If the student's level is Junior or Senior, the value of the backing property should be equal to the parameter passed to the setter method. If the student is only a Freshman or Sophomore, set the "_major" backing property equal to 'None'.
What happened to my code here? ><
class Student {
constructor(gpa, credits){
this.gpa = gpa;
this.credits = credits;
}
stringGPA() {
return this.gpa.toString();
}
get level() {
if (this.credits > 90 ) {
return 'Senior';
} else if (this.credits > 60) {
return 'Junior';
} else if (this.credits > 30) {
return 'Sophomore';
} else {
return 'Freshman';
}
}
get major(){
return this._major
}
set major(major) {
this._major = "";
if (this._level === 'Senior' || 'Junior'){
return this._major
} else if (this._level === 'Sophomore' || 'Freshman') {
return 'None'
}
}
var student = new Student(3.9, 60);

36,427 PointsHi Hanwen!
This passes:
class Student {
constructor(gpa, credits){
this.gpa = gpa;
this.credits = credits;
}
stringGPA() {
return this.gpa.toString();
}
get level() {
if (this.credits > 90 ) {
return 'Senior';
} else if (this.credits > 60) {
return 'Junior';
} else if (this.credits > 30) {
return 'Sophomore';
} else {
return 'Freshman';
}
}
set major(major) {
if (this.level === 'Junior' || this.level === 'Senior') { // If the student's level is Junior or Senior
// the value of the backing property should be equal to the parameter passed to the setter method
this._major = major; // ._major being the backing property and major is the parameter passed in
} else { // Otherwise (i.e.: Freshman or Sophomore)
this._major = 'None'; // set the "_major" backing property equal to 'None'.
}
}
}
var student = new Student(3.9, 60);
I hope that helps.
Stay safe and happy coding!

7,175 Pointsat this stage, it it normal to not remember the notions of : if ( === || === ) and have to look back in notes or does should this be anchored in my our minds? Or is this the imposter syndrome kicking in? i didnt even think of using this notion for having to solve the problem...haha I feel i don't remember much of everything i learned. Is it like that for all you guys also?
