180 PointsInitialize the member variable mExterminateButton using the findViewById() method. The ID for the button is button1.
I am very confused.
import android.app.Activity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.View;
import android.widget.Button;
public class MainActivity extends Activity {
protected Button mExterminateButton;
@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
mExterminateButton = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.button1);
// Declare our view variables
}
}

64,262 PointsHi Sampurna,
It looks like you're trying to cast the button mExterminateButton
as an EditText. If you update that to a Button
, your code should pass the Challenge.
mExterminateButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.button1);
Hope that helps!
