Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 33,271 Pointsthe word index doesn't mean anything. you are looping through items and your loop variable is item. you want to check the first index of each item. use slice notation with square brackets [] like myString[4], which would be r. the number of the index you want goes inside, and indices start at 0.
