231,248 PointsYou can set your time zone in the TZ environment variable using the "export" command. The format is: a 3-letter standard zone code, number of hours offset from UTC (may be negative), and a 3-letter DST zone code.
So, for someone in central U.S.:
export TZ=CST6CDT
As long as both zone codes are used, the system will automatically apply DST when appropriate.
