How do you paste icons as a text field, as shown in this video? How does this work?

After installing Font Awesome (the desktop package) you can copy the icon from the website and paste it into a text box in your favorite design software. If it shows up as a square or square with a "X", you need to highlight the icon and then change the font to "Font Awesome 5 Free".

Treehouse StaffYeah, font awesome is pretty handy for designing quickly without the need for an icon kit, SVGs, or a plugin. But as always it's whatever workflow is most comfortable and convenient for you.
