Courses Plus Student 498 PointsI'm totally lost! Where did all these Ruby on Rails files came from ?
I'm so lost here. Started downloading Ruby on Rails, then went to the terminal, typed a couple weird stuff and suddenly, EUREKA, I have a bunch of files on the text editor and I'm updating statuses... Where did those files come from ? How ? Did I miss a video in between ? Thank you.

36,441 PointsSince people who develop Rails apps often need some commonly used functionality, a script/generator was built in that creates a lot of stuff for you and makes it usable out of the box (i.e. with one command in the console). You could do all these things manually and get more control/customization along the way, but that's more advanced and you will get to it one day if you want to.
