1,838 PointsI'm stuck on the media query code challenge!
The challenge is for me to set a break-point at 480px, then inside the break-point, change the h1 font-size to 2.5em.
@media screen and (max-width: 480px) {
h1 {
font-size: 2.5em;
}
}
I want to believe that thisis the right answer, but I'm repeatedly told it is not.
a {
text-decoration: none;

max-width: 940px;
margin: 0 auto;
}
#logo {

}

24,604 PointsHey Keith,
You'll want to use min-width, not max-width for this challenge.
@media (min-width: 480px) {
h1 {
font-size: 2.5em;
}
}
Typically, with min-width, you're designing mobile-first. With max-width patterns, you're design desktop-first. Min-width is the minimum width at which a style will start to be applied.

1,838 Points@media screen and (min-width: 480px) { h1 { font-size: 2.5em; } }
still not working. I even tried copying and pasting your code.
This is the exact challenge:
Create a breakpoint for devices 480 pixels wide or larger. Inside the breakpoint, set the h1 font-size to 2.5em.

24,604 PointsAre you sure this is not passing for you?
I've tried the following and both pass:
@media (min-width: 480px) {
h1 {
font-size: 2.5em;
}
}
@media screen and (min-width: 480px) {
h1 {
font-size: 2.5em;
}
}
Edit:
Are you writing this at the bottom of your stylesheet?
Keith Kittrick
1,838 PointsThat was the problem, I switched back to writing at the top, after you replied.
Thanks a lot.
I love the course.
