2,760 PointsIm stuck :(
Hi, Im a little confuse about how to fill the switch method. I want to change the coordinates which are a Point type. Any help?
Thanks a lot
class Point {
var x: Int
var y: Int
init(x: Int, y: Int){
self.x = x
self.y = y
}
}
class Machine {
var location: Point
init() {
self.location = Point(x: 0, y: 0)
}
func move(direction: String) {
print("Do nothing! Im a machine!")
}
}
// Enter your code below
class Robot: Machine {
override func move(direction: String) {
let moveRobot: String
switch moveRobot {
case "Up": Point(x: x, y: y+1)
case "Down": Point(x: x, y: y-1)
case "Left": Point(x: x-1, y: y)
case "Right": Point(x: x+1, y:y)
default: print("BREAK!")
}
}
}

71,830 PointsFernando, try this:
class Robot: Machine {
override func move (direction: String) {
switch direction {
case "Up":
self.location.y++
case "Down":
self.location.y--
case "Left":
self.location.x--
case "Right":
self.location.x++
default: break
}
}
}
You need to override the move method inherited from Machine. It takes one parameter: direction. You switch on that, using the 4 cases. Each time you either increment or decrement the x or y values of location. You also have to have a default.
