1,504 PointsI'm so exhausted from getting help. But I still cant comprehend what is wrong with this code.
It says that squared did not return the correct answer.
# EXAMPLES
# squared(5) would return 25
# squared("2") would return 4
# squared("tim") would return "timtimtim"
def squared(arg):
try:
if int(arg) is True:
return arg ** 2
except ValueError:
return arg * len(arg)

24,063 PointsIn your If statement:
if int(arg): # would return True, so you don't need the 'is True'
and then you just need to convert the arg to an int in that statement as well.
return int(arg) ** 2
