Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype Parsing Integers

I'm not understanding the directions well,

can some one be more specific with the directions I'm not sure of what tot do?

int answer = Integer.parseInt(answerToLife);
String answerToLife = "42";

You were super close. The problem is you declared the answerToLife string variable AFTER asking for it with the parse method. If you just swap the two lines around you complete it :)

int answer = Integer.parseInt(answerToLife); String answerToLife = "42";

Basically when code is being run it runs from top to bottom. So when your parse method is trying to find an answerToLife variable it doesn't exist yet.
