7,948 PointsI'm not understand how she is selecting both the logo and header box to do the alignment. I can't seem to get both
I have tried to click the logo and then have held control and clicked the logo box, tried shift, and even alt and none seem to have the same effect. Which is correct?

Is your alignment tool set to the artboard? Make sure it's set to align to selection. You can review the video and see where Ashley shows you how to set it to align to selection.
Secondly, make sure you're not holding down shift on the second click. So it would go - click first object - hold down shift and click second object - Release shift and click the object you want to align to. Also, this will only work with the selection tool - it won't work with the direct selection tool.
I hope you get it figured out. Hang in there - I remember being in this place with Illustrator and it gets better!

19,810 PointsAccording to Adobe's documentation, you choose the Selection tool, select the first object, then hold down Shift while clicking on other objects to select them.

7,355 PointsIf you're referring to aligning to the header box, you'll need to click the header box a second time while holding down shift. You should see a darker red outline on the header box.

7,948 PointsThanks! I'm not sure what's wrong. I've tried the direct selection tool and the selection tool. I click the logo box and hold shift click the header box and then the logo box again and it is not turning dark red.
